Public Transport
From Schladming, take the RVB Glacier Shuttlebus from Planet Planai to the Dachstein Valley Station. The bus ensures a stress-free journey to the cable car. From the Dachstein Valley station take the Dachstein panorama gondola to the mountain station. A fixed seat booking is highly recommended and costs €2.90 per person. From the mountain station, follow signs to the Eispalast, crossing the suspension bridge. Bus tickets from Schladming cost approximately €9 for a 24-hour return.
Driving
From Ramsau am Dachstein, a 5.5 km toll road leads to the Dachstein cable car lift. Parking is available at the lift. If you are not using the Dachstein panorama gondola, a toll fee applies for the road. However, the toll is included with a valid gondola ticket; validate your toll ticket at the machine in the Dachstein mountain station to enjoy free road use. From the Dachstein mountain station, follow signs to the Eispalast, after exiting the Dachstein panorama gondola.
