Car
From Ötztal, head northeast on B186 towards B171. Follow B171 for approximately 30 km until you reach the junction for B145. Take the exit onto B145 towards Hallstatt. Continue on B145 for about 20 km. As you approach Hallstatt, follow the signs for Salzwelten Hallstatt. Upon reaching Hallstatt, navigate to Salzbergstraße 21, where the entrance to Salzwelten Hallstatt is located. Note that parking is available nearby, but may incur a fee.
Public Transportation
From Ötztal, take a regional train from Ötztal train station to Hallstatt train station. This journey typically requires a transfer at Attnang-Puchheim and takes approximately 2.5 to 3 hours. Once you arrive at Hallstatt train station, take the Hallstätter See ferry (which operates regularly, check the schedule for times) to Hallstatt town. From the ferry dock in Hallstatt, it is a short walk to Salzbergstraße 21 to reach Salzwelten Hallstatt. The ferry ride may have a small fee.
Bus
Take the bus from Ötztal to Hallstatt if available. Check local schedules for the most accurate times. The bus journey could take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you arrive at the bus station in Hallstatt, follow signs directing you to the town center, where you can then walk to Salzbergstraße 21. Ensure to check the bus timetable for the return journey.
