Public Transport
To reach Almstadl using public transport, take a train or bus to Wagrain. From the Wagrain bus station, you can catch a local bus that goes towards Grießenkareck. Alternatively, take bus line 530 or 520 to Wagrain Flying Mozart Talstation. From there, take the Flying Mozart gondola to the top of Grießenkareck. A single ride on the Flying Mozart gondola costs approximately €15-€20.
Car
If traveling by car, head towards Wagrain, accessible via the B163 road from major towns in Pongau. In Wagrain, follow signs for Grießenkareck and then Almstadl. Drive up Grießenkarweg, passing Lisa Alm, Birkhahnalm and Hofalm. Limited parking is available near Almstadl. Parking is free at the Grafenbergbahn valley station. Note that there is a charge for the car park in Wagrain in winter. The toll for the Tauern Tunnel on the A10 motorway is €12.50.
Walking
If you are in Wagrain, a scenic trail leads from the center to Almstadl. The hike is approximately 2 kilometers and takes around 30-45 minutes. From the Flying Mozart cable car mountain station, you can walk 30-45 minutes to the nearby Rupertisee Lake, located below the Almstadl.
