If you are in the city center of Salzburg, head towards the Getreidegasse street. Walk straight along Getreidegasse until you reach the junction with the Alter Markt. From there, continue straight to the Domplatz (Cathedral Square). At the square, you will see the Salzburg Cathedral on your left. Walk past the cathedral and take the stairs leading up to the Mönchsberg hill. Follow the path that leads you up to the Hohensalzburg Fortress.
