Walking
From Salzburg Cathedral, walk west through the Old Town towards the Sigmundstor tunnel. Pass through the tunnel and continue straight onto Gstättengasse. The Mönchsberg Elevator valley station is located at Gstättengasse 13, a short walk from the tunnel exit. The walk is approximately 10 minutes.
Public Transport
From Salzburg Hauptbahnhof (main train station), take bus line 1 or 2 towards 'Schallmoos'. Get off at the 'Gstättengasse' stop. The Mönchsberg Elevator is a short walk from the bus stop. A single ride ticket costs approximately €2.70. Alternatively, the 'Guest Mobility Ticket' provides free access to public transport within Salzburg. Note that the Guest Mobility Ticket may not be valid for the Mönchsberg Elevator.
Taxi/Ride-Share
From Salzburg Airport, a taxi or ride-share to the Mönchsberg Elevator will take approximately 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic. Expect to pay around €20-€30. The driver should take you to Gstättengasse 13, the address of the elevator's valley station.
