Walking
If you're starting from the Salzburg Cathedral (Salzburger Dom), head south on Domplatz toward Kapitelplatz. Continue straight to the end of the square, then take a left onto Getreidegasse. Walk along Getreidegasse until you reach the intersection with Makartplatz. Turn right onto Makartplatz, and you will find the Mozart Residence at number 8 on your left.
Public Transportation - Bus
From Mirabell Palace (Mirabellgarten), walk to the nearby bus stop 'Mirabellplatz'. Take bus line 1 or 2 towards 'Salzburg Hauptbahnhof'. Get off at the 'Makartplatz' stop. Once you get off, the Mozart Residence is just a short walk away at Makartplatz 8. Head towards the large square and look for the building on your right.
Public Transportation - Tram
From the Salzburger Hauptbahnhof (Main Train Station), take tram line 1 towards 'Aigen' or line 2 towards 'Parsch'. Get off at 'Makartplatz', which is the third stop. After exiting the tram, walk directly towards Makartplatz 8, where the Mozart Residence is located.
Walking from the Old Town
If you're in the Old Town (Altstadt), a great starting point is the Mozart Square (Mozartplatz). From there, head east towards the Salzach River. Cross the bridge at Staatsbrücke and once you reach the other side, walk straight to Makartplatz. The Mozart Residence will be at number 8, on your left.
