Getting There

  • Public Transport - Bus

    From Salzburg's main train station (Hauptbahnhof), exit the station and head to the bus stop located just outside. Take bus number 25 towards 'Hellbrunn'. The journey takes about 20 minutes. Get off at the 'Hellbrunn' stop. From there, it’s a short walk to the entrance of Schloss Hellbrunn, which is about a 5-minute walk straight ahead.

  • Public Transport - Tram and Bus

    Start at the 'Schloss Mirabell' tram stop, which is located near the Mirabell Palace. Take tram line 1 towards 'Gare' for one stop and get off at 'Paracelsusstraße'. From there, walk to the bus stop and catch bus number 25 heading to 'Hellbrunn'. After approximately 10 minutes, disembark at the 'Hellbrunn' stop. The entrance to Schloss Hellbrunn is a 5-minute walk straight ahead.

    If you prefer to walk, start at the historic city center (Altstadt) of Salzburg. Head south towards the river and cross the bridge at 'Makartsteg'. Continue along the riverbank until you reach 'Hellbrunnstraße'. Follow 'Hellbrunnstraße' heading east until you reach 'Fürstenweg'. Turn left onto 'Fürstenweg', and after about a 30-minute walk, you will arrive at the gates of Schloss Hellbrunn.
