From the Obertraun Dachsteinhöhlen train station, take the OÖVV bus line 543 directly to the Dachsteinseilbahn valley station. The bus stop is located in front of the entrance. The bus ride takes approximately 7 minutes and departs every three hours. A single ticket costs between €2 and €4. Alternatively, from Bad Ischl or Gosau, take the OÖVV bus line 542/543 to Obertraun Dachsteinseilbahn. The bus stop is located directly in front of the valley station.

From Obertraun, a taxi to the Dachstein Krippenstein valley station takes about 3 minutes and costs approximately €11-€14. If driving, follow signs to Obertraun and then to the Dachstein Krippenstein cable car. Paid parking is available at the valley station. The parking area uses license plate recognition for barrier-free access.
