From the center of Schladming, walk towards the Planai stadium. Continue past Pension Kieler, turning left towards Planai. Follow signs for Grubeggweg/WM-Pfad Planai. Hike up the trail, and after a couple of switchbacks, turn right towards Grubegg. The hiking track to Planai Mountain Station begins at Grubeggsteig. The walk to the trailhead from Schladming takes approximately 30-40 minutes.
