Public Transport

From Schladming, take bus line 971 towards Rohrmoos. Get off at the 'Gipfelbahn Hochwurzen' stop, which is directly at the base of the Hochwurzen cable car. The bus ride takes approximately 10-15 minutes. Bus fare is around €2-3. With the Sommercard, bus travel is free on lines 900 and 902 between Gröbming and Mandling. A ride on the Hochwurzen cable car costs €18 for a single ascent or descent for adults and €10 for children.

From the center of Schladming, head towards Rohrmoos. Follow Rohrmoosstraße for approximately 4 km until you reach the Gipfelbahn Hochwurzen valley station. Parking is available at the valley station. Parking fees may apply. Consider car park P3 in Schladming, which costs €11.20 per day.

From Rohrmoos-Untertal, the Gipfelbahn Hochwurzen is approximately a 15-minute walk. Follow Rohrmoosstraße uphill to the valley station. This is a straightforward walk, but be prepared for a slight incline.
