The Brunnenkogelhaus is a mountain hut that stands proudly on the summit of the Brunnenkogel, at an elevation of 2,738 meters, in the heart of the Ötztal Alps. This lofty perch provides visitors with unparalleled 360° panoramic views, encompassing the Ötztal and Stubai Alps, as well as the Venter and Gurgler valleys.The hut has a rich history, with the first stone building erected on the site in 1887. However, due to its deteriorating condition, it was replaced in 2007 with a new, modern wooden structure. Today, the Brunnenkogelhaus offers a comfortable and welcoming retreat for hikers and mountaineers seeking to explore the surrounding peaks.The hut is accessible via several hiking trails, with varying levels of difficulty and duration. These routes wind through picturesque landscapes, including forests, alpine meadows, and rocky terrain. Upon reaching the hut, visitors can enjoy hearty Tyrolean meals, relax on the sun terrace, and even stay overnight in one of the 24 available beds. The Brunnenkogelhaus is also an ideal venue for company outings, birthday celebrations and school trips.
