Local tips
- Check the weather forecast before your hike, as alpine conditions can change rapidly. Pack layers and be prepared for sudden shifts in temperature and precipitation.
- Wear sturdy hiking boots with good ankle support, as the trails can be rocky and uneven. Trekking poles can also be helpful for stability and reducing strain on your knees.
- Bring plenty of water and snacks, as there are limited opportunities to resupply along the trails. High-energy foods like nuts, dried fruit, and energy bars are ideal.
