From Salzburg, take a train to Golling-Abtenau Bahnhof. From there, take bus line 470 or 471 towards Scheffau. Get off at the Scheffau stop, which is directly in Scheffau am Tennengebirge. From the bus stop, it is a short walk to Freizeitanlage Harrbergsee. A single bus fare from Golling-Abtenau to Scheffau costs approximately €4-6. A Klimaticket Salzburg PLUS is also available for loan to Scheffau residents, offering free travel on weekends and holidays, and allowing a second person to travel free.

From Salzburg, take the A10 towards Villach. Exit at Golling and continue towards Abtenau. After approximately 5 km, turn right following the signs for Freizeitanlage Harrbergsee. Parking is available near the lake. The entrance fee includes parking. Parking is free.
