Museum Burg Golling is easily accessible by public transport. From Salzburg, take a train (ÖBB) or bus to Golling-Abtenau Bahnhof. From the station, it's approximately a 10-minute walk to the museum. Follow the signs towards the town center (Markt). Several bus lines also stop closer to the town center. A single train fare from Salzburg to Golling-Abtenau costs approximately €5-€8. Bus fares are similar.

From the center of Golling (e.g., the main square or the parish church), Museum Burg Golling is a short walk. Head north towards Markt street. The castle is prominently visible on a slight elevation. The walk is no more than 5-10 minutes. No costs are involved.

If arriving by car, take the A10 Tauernautobahn and exit at Golling (Exit 28). Follow the Salzachtalbundesstraße (B159) into the town center. Note that the museum does not have dedicated parking. Public parking is available at the P+R parkplatz along Bahnhofstraße or in short-term parking zones (90 minutes max) in the town center near the Gemeindeamt and Trögergasse. Parking fees vary, but expect to pay around €2-€4 per hour in the short-term zones. The P+R parking may have daily rates. Be aware that during peak season parking can be limited.
