Driving
From Scheffau am Tennengebirge, head towards Wallingwinkl. Follow the road for several kilometers, winding uphill. After Voglau, turn right and follow the signs for Rocheralm. The drive is approximately 5 kilometers on a paved road, with parking available a short walk from the hut. Parking is free but can be limited during peak times. It's advisable to call ahead to check parking availability. There are no tolls on this route.

Several hiking trails lead to Rocheralm from Abtenau and surrounding areas. One popular route starts in Au, near Abtenau, and takes approximately 2.5 hours via the Au forest road. Another option is to start from Burghartbauer, which takes about 1 hour via the forest road or 1 hour 15 minutes via Seitenalm. From Voglau, a shorter 15-minute hike is possible via Güterweg Grillseitn. These routes are well-marked and offer varying levels of difficulty.

To reach the Rocheralm using public transport, take bus line 470 or 471 to Scheffau. From Scheffau, you will need to hike or take a taxi to reach the Rocheralm, as there is no direct public transport to the alm itself. The hike from Scheffau takes approximately 2-3 hours. A short taxi ride from Scheffau to the Rocheralm will cost approximately 20-30 EUR.
