Walking

The Stadtturm is located in the center of Enns on the Hauptplatz (main square), making it easily accessible on foot from most locations within the town. From the Enns train station, it's approximately a 15-20 minute walk. Follow Bahnhofstraße, then turn onto Linzer Straße. Continue onto Hauptplatz. The Stadtturm will be visible in the center of the square.

Public Transport

If arriving by train at Enns train station, several bus lines connect the station to the Hauptplatz. Bus lines 400, 404, and 409 stop near the Hauptplatz. From the bus stop 'Enns Hauptplatz (Stadtturm),' the tower is a short walk. A single bus fare is approximately €2-3.

Taxi/Ride-Share

Taxis are available in Enns, particularly near the train station. A taxi ride from the Enns train station to the Stadtturm on Hauptplatz will take approximately 5-10 minutes, depending on traffic. Expect to pay around €10-€15 for the ride. City-Taxi-Fahrscheine are available for a cheaper option.

Driving

If driving, follow the signs to Enns city center. Parking is available around the Hauptplatz, but spaces can be limited. Parking fees are approximately €0.50 per hour. Alternatively, free parking is available at the Lauriacum Basilica, a short walk from the Hauptplatz. From the parking area, walk towards the city center, following signs for the Hauptplatz. The Stadtturm will be visible in the center of the square.

The facade features the Habsburg coat of arms, and stones from the demolished Scheiblingkirche were incorporated into the structure. One of the tower's most distinctive features is its clock, with its swapped minute and hour hands.Visitors can climb the 157 steps to the viewing gallery for panoramic views of Enns and the surrounding area. The ascent offers a journey through time, with informative displays about the tower's history. For a unique experience, visitors can stay overnight in the Turmhotel, a modern hotel room located within the tower.The Stadtturm is more than just a historical monument; it's a living part of the community and a symbol of Enns's identity.
