  • Public Transport - U-Bahn (Subway)

    If you are near the city center, take the U-Bahn line U2 (the purple line) towards 'Karlsplatz.' Get off at the 'Karlsplatz' station. Once you exit the station, follow the signs for the 'Oper' (Opera House) and head towards the Staatsoper (State Opera). From there, walk north towards the Burggarten park, which will lead you to the Heldenplatz. The Neue Burg is located on the western side of the Heldenplatz.

  • Public Transport - Tram

    You can take tram line 1 or 2 from various points in the city. If you're near the Ringstraße (the ring road around the city center), board tram line 1 or 2 in the direction of 'Prater' or 'Nussdorf' respectively. Disembark at the 'Burgring' stop. From there, walk towards the Heldenplatz, which is only a few minutes away. The Neue Burg is situated on the western side of the square.

    If you are already in the Innere Stadt (the inner city), you can easily walk to the Neue Burg. Start at Stephansplatz (where St. Stephen's Cathedral is located). Walk northwest along the Graben street, then continue onto Kohlmarkt until you reach the Hofburg Palace complex. Enter the Hofburg area, and make your way to Heldenplatz. The Neue Burg will be on your left as you approach the square.

    You can take bus line 40A from various locations in Vienna. Get off at 'Hofburg' bus stop. From there, walk towards the Heldenplatz, which is just a short distance away. The Neue Burg is located on the western side of the Heldenplatz.
