From the center of Waldviertel, head towards Altmelon. Follow the B38 road towards Krems, then take the exit towards Altmelon. Once in Altmelon, follow signs to Meloner Au. Limited free parking is available at Parkplatz Halterberg, near the nature reserve. Be mindful of parking regulations. From the parking area, it's a short walk to the entrance of Meloner Au. Parking is free.

Public Transport
From Krems an der Donau, take a regional bus towards Altmelon. Buses run several times a day, so check the schedule in advance. From the Altmelon Ortsmitte (town center) bus stop, it's approximately a 15-minute walk to Meloner Au. Follow the signs directing you to the Naturschutzgebiet (nature reserve). Bus fare from Krems to Altmelon ranges from €5-€10.
