  • Public Transport

    From Zell am See, take Postbus line 660 towards Kaprun. The bus departs from the Zell am See train station and stops at Kaprun Center/MK Maiskogelbahn before reaching the Kitzsteinhorn valley station. Single and multi-day tickets are available for purchase on the bus. The bus ride from Zell am See to the Kitzsteinhorn valley station takes approximately 30 minutes. A single ticket costs around €5-8.

  • Driving

    From Kaprun, drive along Kesselfallstraße towards the Kitzsteinhorn valley station. The drive is approximately 7 kilometers along a mountain road. Free parking is available at the Kitzsteinhorn valley station. During peak season, a shuttle service operates between the parking areas and the valley station. Note that there are EV charging stations available.

  • Cable Car

    From the Kitzsteinhorn valley station, access to the summit (Top of Salzburg) requires a combination of cable cars. Take Gletscherjet 1 and 2 to the Alpincenter. From the Alpincenter, transfer to Gletscherjet 3 and 4, followed by the Gletscher Shuttle to reach the 'Top of Salzburg'. A round-trip ticket to the Top of Salzburg costs approximately €50 for adults. Check the Kitzsteinhorn website for current ticket prices and operating hours.
