From Zell am See, take bus 660 towards Kaprun. The bus departs from Postplatz and stops at the Zell am See train station. The ride takes approximately 15-20 minutes. Get off at the 'Kaprun Ortsmitte' stop. From there, walk along Fritz-Wildung-Strasse, turn left onto Schloßstraße, and continue for about 500 meters until you see Burg Kaprun on your right. Bus tickets can be purchased from the driver. A single fare should cost around €2-4. Note that the K-Line also runs between Kaprun Castle and the center of Kaprun.

From the center of Kaprun (e.g., Kaprun Ortsmitte bus stop), Burg Kaprun is approximately a 15-20 minute walk. Head towards the direction of the Kaprun Castle. Walk along the main road, Fritz-Wildung-Strasse, until you reach Schloßstraße. Turn left onto Schloßstraße. Continue walking for about 500 meters until you see Burg Kaprun on your right. The walk is relatively easy and offers scenic views of the village.
