Getting There

    The Zillertaler Höhenstraße is accessible by car from several villages, including Hippach, Zellberg, Aschau im Zillertal, Ried im Zillertal and Kaltenbach. Once you reach one of these access points, follow the signs for Zillertaler Höhenstraße. Be prepared for a toll. As of 2025, the toll for cars up to 6 people is €10. For larger vehicles, such as minibuses, the toll is €20. Note that only cash payments are accepted.

  • Public Transport

    From Fügen-Kaltenbach, a hiking bus provides access to the Zillertaler Höhenstraße. The bus will take you to Almgasthof Zirmstadl / Platzlalm. A return trip costs €13 for adults and €6.50 for children (6-15 years). A one-way trip costs €9 for adults and €4.50 for children (6-15 years). Children under 6 years travel for free.

The road is accessible via five different entrances, located in Ried, Kaltenbach, Aschau, Zellberg and Hippach.
