  • Walking

    From the center of Ried im Zillertal, head towards Kaltenbach until you reach the Riedbachbrücke (Riedbach Bridge). Before the bridge, turn right into the forest. Follow the path along the Kreuzweg (Stations of the Cross) leading to the Riedbergkapelle (Riedberg Chapel). From there, continue on the hiking trail until you see the sign for Kühle Quelle. Follow the road to the Maurach farmstead (end of the road). Pass the house, and the hiking trail will lead you to Kühle Quelle. The walk from Ried to Kühle Quelle takes approximately 1.75 hours. There are no specific costs associated with this route.

    If driving, navigate towards Ried im Zillertal. From the main road (Zillertal Straße B169), turn onto Riedberg Straße. Follow Riedberg Straße for approximately 2 kilometers until you reach Riedberg 55, where Kühle Quelle is located. Limited parking is available nearby. Parking fees, if applicable, are approximately €3-5 per hour.
