State Flag Square, located along Neftchiler Avenue in the Bayil settlement of Baku, is a 60-hectare expanse dedicated to Azerbaijan's national identity. Inaugurated in 2010, the square features the country's coat of arms, anthem, and a map, all rendered in gilded bronze. The square's centerpiece is its flagpole. While it once held the title of the world's tallest at 162 meters, a new 192-meter steel mast was installed by August 2024. In November 2024, a 36 m × 72 m flag was raised, certified by Guinness World Records as the largest and heaviest ever flown.
