From Lankaran city center, get on the Lankaran-Astara highway (M1). Drive south for approximately 25 km. Look for the sign directing you to Khanbulanchay reservoir. Turn left onto the road that leads directly to the reservoir. Continue for another 5 km until you reach the reservoir. There is free parking available near the entrance.

From Lankaran, take a minibus (marshrutka) heading towards Astara. Ask the driver to drop you off at the turn-off for Khanbulanchay reservoir, which is approximately 25 km from Lankaran. Once you get off at the turn-off, you may need to walk about 5 km to reach the reservoir. Alternatively, you can hire a local taxi from the main road to cover the last 5 km, which should cost around 5-10 AZN.
