Public Transport
To reach Bahrain Bay Beach via public transport from Manama city center, take bus routes A1, 12, 19, 41, 45 or A2. Alight at the bus stop closest to Bahrain Bay, such as Palace Avenue-2/Ras Ruman or Government Ave-4/Ras Ruman, which are a short walk away from the beach. A single bus fare costs 0.300 BHD. Consider purchasing a GO Card for 0.500 BHD to avail of a discounted fare of 0.275 BHD per trip. A day pass costs 0.700 BHD.
Taxi/Ride-Share
Taxis and ride-sharing services like Uber and Careem are readily available in Manama. A taxi ride from the city center to Bahrain Bay Beach typically costs between 6 BHD to 8 BHD, depending on traffic and the exact location. Ensure the driver uses the meter to avoid overcharging. A 10% tip for good service is standard.
Driving
If driving from central Manama, follow signs towards Bahrain Bay. Once in the Bahrain Bay area, look for parking facilities near the beach entrance. Parking is available, and the fee is approximately 0.200 BHD per 30 minutes for standard parking and 0.500 BHD per 30 minutes for premium parking. Be aware that parking spaces may be limited, especially during peak hours and weekends.
Water Taxi
Consider using the new Sea Taxi service, which has a stop at Bahrain Bay. A one-station ticket costs 0.800 BHD (standard) or 1.500 BHD (VIP). A full-day ticket costs 2.500 BHD (standard) or 5.000 BHD (VIP). The Sea Taxi operates from Sunday to Thursday (2:30 PM – 9:45 PM) and Friday and Saturday (12:00 noon – 12:00 midnight).
Walking
If you are already in the vicinity of Bahrain Bay, walking to the beach is a pleasant option. Follow the pedestrian walkways and signs directing you towards Bahrain Bay Beach. The walk from nearby landmarks such as the Bahrain World Trade Center or The Avenues mall should take approximately 15-20 minutes, offering scenic views of the bay and the city skyline. No costs are associated with walking.
