Situated just beyond Bab Al Bahrain, the historic gateway to the city, the market is a labyrinth of narrow streets and alleyways filled with shops selling everything from clothing and electronics to spices, toys, and antiques.The souq is renowned for its Bahraini gold, famous for its quality, purity, and exquisite designs. The Gold Souq, located within Manama Market, is a dazzling display of gold jewelry crafted in traditional Bahraini designs. In addition to gold, visitors can find a wide selection of traditional Bahraini sweets, spices, perfumes, and textiles. The market also offers a variety of restaurants with flavors from around the world.Manama Market is divided into a new, pedestrianized section and an older area with roads for cars and walkways for pedestrians. The souq is generally open from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM and from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM, Saturday to Thursday. On Fridays, it is open from 8:30 AM to 10:00 PM. It's an ideal place to experience Bahraini culture and connect with the local community.
