Getting There

Walking
Starting from the Muharraq Souq, head east towards the main road (King Faisal Highway). Walk straight for about 500 meters until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto Sheikh Khalifa Bin Salman Highway (also known as the Coast Road). Continue walking along the coast for approximately 1 kilometer. You will see the historic Qal'at Bu Maher (Bu Maher Fort) on your right. The public beach area, بحر المحرق العام, is located directly adjacent to the fort. Look for signs directing you to the beach area.

If you prefer to take public transportation, find the nearest bus stop on the King Faisal Highway. Take Bus Number 21 towards Al Muharraq. After about 15 minutes, get off at the stop for Qal'at Bu Maher. From the bus stop, walk towards the fort. The بحر المحرق العام is located right next to it.
