Named after Shaikh Ebrahim bin Mohammed Al Khalifa (1874-1933), a renowned figure in Bahrain's history, the center embodies his legacy of intellectual curiosity and artistic appreciation. The center has restored around ten traditional Bahraini houses in Muharraq and Manama, transforming them into spaces for cultural exchange. These houses reflect unique architectural styles and offer insights into Bahrain's past. Each house has its own distinct character and purpose, providing visitors with a glimpse into different facets of Bahraini culture. The center hosts over 500 speakers, philosophers, poets, and thinkers, who have presented their thoughts in the center's weekly lecture program. The center also organizes concerts, seminars, and exhibitions annually. Visitors can explore exhibitions covering topics from pearl diving to Bahraini crafts. The center also serves as a venue for cultural events, including art exhibitions, lectures, and performances. The center is open Saturday to Thursday, with visiting times from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Tickets are required to visit the center and its cultural houses. Bahrainis can purchase tickets for BHD 2, while non-Bahrainis can purchase tickets for BHD 3. Children under 12 years old can enter for free.
