Public Transport
From Sylhet city, take a bus towards Jaintapur. Buses regularly depart from Sylhet bus terminal. The fare ranges from 60-70 BDT. Alight at Jaintapur Bazar. From there, you can hire a CNG auto-rickshaw or 'TomTom' (electric rickshaw) to DB Haor, approximately 5-minute ride. CNG/TomTom fare should be around 30-50 BDT. Alternatively, you can walk from Jaintapur Bazar to DB Haor, which is about 1 km.
Taxi/Ride-Share
From Sylhet city, a taxi or ride-sharing service (like Uber or Pathao) can be hired directly to DB Haor. The journey takes approximately 1.5-2 hours, depending on traffic. Expect to pay around 1500-2000 BDT for a one-way trip. Note that ride-sharing services might be limited in Jaintapur, so arranging a return trip in advance is advisable.
Driving
If driving from Sylhet, head east on the Sylhet-Tamabil Highway (N4). Continue for approximately 42 km until you reach Jaintapur. DB Haor is located near the highway. Look for signs for 'DB Haor' or 'Shaplar Bill'. Parking is available near the entrance, and there are no parking costs.
