Batts Rock Park: A Tranquil Coastal Escape

Batts Rock Park, a hidden gem on Barbados' west coast, offers a tranquil and picturesque escape just a few minutes north of Bridgetown. In the early 1990s, the club undertook an ambitious project to transform Batts Rock into a national park, working in collaboration with the National Conservation Commission (NCC). This project involved clearing overgrown foliage, constructing a play park, picnic area, and washroom facilities. The park was officially opened in January 1997 and has since become a beloved destination for locals and tourists alike. The park offers a range of amenities, including toilets, showers, and changing facilities, ensuring a comfortable and convenient experience for visitors. Picnic areas with benches provide the perfect setting for enjoying a meal or snack while taking in the breathtaking scenery. One of the unique aspects of Batts Rock Park is its natural surroundings. The park is bordered by wooded areas that are home to Barbados' famous green monkeys.
