From Paynes Bay, start at the beach and head east along the coast on the main road. Continue walking along Highway 1, passing through the neighborhoods of St. James. After approximately 1.5 kilometers, you will reach a roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto the A1 highway towards Bridgetown. Continue for about another 1.5 kilometers until you see a sign for Gun Hill on your left. Follow Fusilier Road up the hill for about 1 kilometer until you reach Gun Hill Signal Station.

From Paynes Bay, walk to the main road (Highway 1) and catch a ZR van (a minibus) heading towards Bridgetown. Inform the driver that you want to get off at the stop for Gun Hill. Once you get off, walk along Fusilier Road for about 15 minutes uphill until you reach Gun Hill Signal Station.
