Walking
Start at the Aalst train station. Exit the station and head south toward the main square, called 'Oude Markt'. Once you reach the square, continue straight onto the 'Korte Dendermondsesteenweg'. Follow this road until you reach the intersection with 'Dendermondse Steenweg'. Turn left onto 'Dendermondse Steenweg' and walk straight for about 1.5 kilometers. You will pass several shops and cafes along the way. Keep walking until you reach the roundabout at 'Pater Wenceslasplein'. From the roundabout, take the second exit onto 'Burgemeester Delaereplein'. Continue straight until you see the statue on your right, near the local park.
