Walking
Botermarkt is located in the heart of Ghent's city center and is easily accessible by foot from most central locations. From Korenmarkt, walk south towards the Ghent City Hall; Botermarkt is located at the City Hall's northeast corner. From St. Bavo's Cathedral, walk north past the Belfry. Botermarkt will be on your right. No costs are associated with walking.
Public Transport
Ghent has an efficient public transport system of trams and buses operated by De Lijn. Tram lines 1, 2, 3, and 4 pass through the city center. Check the De Lijn app or website for the most up-to-date routes and schedules. From Gent-Sint-Pieters railway station, take tram line 1 towards the city center. Get off at the Korenmarkt stop and walk south towards the Ghent City Hall; Botermarkt is located at the City Hall's northeast corner. A single ticket costs €3 and is valid for 60 minutes, allowing unlimited transfers within that time. Contactless payment is available on buses and trams.
