Walking
From any location in Knokke-Heist, head towards the Knokke train station (Station Knokke). Once there, catch a train to Ghent. The journey takes approximately 1 hour. After arriving at Ghent St. Pieters railway station, exit the station and take tram line 1 towards 'Gent Dampoort'. Get off at the 'Sint-Baafsplein' stop. Saint Bavo's Cathedral will be directly in front of you as you step off the tram.

Start by making your way to the nearest bus stop in Knokke-Heist. Take bus line 47 towards 'Brugge'. You will need to transfer at Brugge station to catch a train to Ghent. Once you arrive at Ghent St. Pieters station, take tram line 1 towards 'Gent Dampoort' and get off at the 'Sint-Baafsplein' stop. Upon exiting the tram, you can easily find Saint Bavo's Cathedral right in front of you.

For those who enjoy cycling, rent a bicycle in Knokke-Heist and follow the coastal bike paths heading towards Bruges. Once you reach Bruges, lock up your bike and take a train from Brugge station to Ghent. After arriving at Ghent St. Pieters station, you can either walk or take tram line 1 to 'Sint-Baafsplein'. The cathedral will be right in front as you get off the tram.
