    From the central square in Kortrijk (Grote Markt), head south on the 'Korte Steenstraat' towards the 'Grote Poort'. Continue straight until you reach 'Bovenstraat'. Turn left onto 'Bovenstraat' and follow it until you reach the railway station (Kortrijk Station). From the station, take a train towards Lille Flandres. Once you arrive at Lille Flandres station, exit the station and walk towards 'Gare Lille Flandres' metro station. Take metro line 1 towards 'Château Rouge'. Get off at 'Rihour' station. From 'Rihour', walk towards Avenue du 43e régiment d'infanterie, following the signs for the 'Citadel of Lille'. The citadel will be a short walk away.

    Starting from the central square in Kortrijk (Grote Markt), walk to the nearest bus stop, 'Kortrijk Markt'. Take the bus number 1 towards Lille. The bus will take you directly to Lille town center. Once you arrive, get off at 'Place de la République'. From there, head towards the 'Gare Lille Flandres' metro station. Take metro line 1 towards 'Château Rouge' and get off at 'Rihour' station. After exiting the metro, follow the signs to Avenue du 43e régiment d'infanterie to reach the Citadel of Lille.
