From the center of Nieuwpoort, start at the Nieuwpoort-Bad train station. Exit the station and head southeast on the N34 road towards the intersection with the N8. Continue straight for about 2.5 kilometers until you reach the N8. At the intersection, turn left onto the N8 and walk for about 1 kilometer until you reach the town of Lombardsijde. Continue on the N8 for another 2 kilometers until you reach the town of Diksmuide. Once in Diksmuide, continue straight until you see the signs for IJzerdijk. Turn right onto IJzerdijk and follow it for approximately 1 kilometer. The Dodengang (the Trench of Death) is located at IJzerdijk 65, Diksmuide. You will find it on the left side of the road.
