Car
From Caracol, head northwest on the road towards the Western Highway (Hummingbird Highway). The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you reach the Western Highway, turn left (southbound) and follow the road for about 10 miles until you reach the junction that leads to Seven Miles El Progresso. Turn right at the junction and continue for about 5 miles, following the signs to Barton Creek Cave Reserve. The entrance will be on your left.

Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, you can take a local bus from Caracol to the town of San Ignacio. Buses leave regularly and the journey takes about 1 hour. Once in San Ignacio, you can catch a taxi or a shuttle service to Barton Creek Cave Reserve. Taxis are available and will cost approximately $20-25 BZD for the trip, which will take about 30 minutes.

For the more adventurous, you can rent a bike in Caracol. The ride to Barton Creek Cave Reserve will take about 1.5 to 2 hours depending on your cycling speed. Follow the same route as you would by car, heading towards the Western Highway, then follow the directions towards Seven Miles El Progresso.
