    Getting There

    Car

    If you are driving from Crooked Tree Wildlife Sanctuary, start by exiting the sanctuary and heading south on the main road (Philip Goldson Highway). Continue on this highway for approximately 22 miles (35 km). You will pass through the town of Ladyville. Keep an eye out for signs leading to San Ignacio. When you reach the junction, take the left turn onto the George Price Highway toward San Ignacio. After about 15 miles (24 km), you’ll arrive in San Ignacio. Once in San Ignacio, turn left onto Chial Road. The Belize Botanic Gardens will be on your right. Make sure to check for parking upon arrival.

    Public Transportation

    For those using public transport, you can catch a bus from Crooked Tree to Belize City. Buses typically run every hour. From Belize City, take another bus heading to San Ignacio. The bus ride may take about 2 to 3 hours, depending on traffic. Once you reach San Ignacio, you can take a taxi or a local bus towards Chial Road. The taxi fare should be relatively inexpensive, but it’s advisable to ask the driver for the rate before getting in. Inform the driver that you want to go to Belize Botanic Gardens.
