Getting There

Car
From the center of Mountain Pine Ridge, head southwest on the main road towards the Macal River Valley. Continue for about 15 minutes until you reach a fork in the road. Keep left to stay on the road towards Chial. After another 10 minutes, you will see signs for Chial Reserve. Follow the signs, and you will arrive at the reserve entrance. Expect to pay a small entry fee, typically around BZD 10-20 per person.

Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, you can catch a local bus from Mountain Pine Ridge to San Ignacio. Ask the driver to drop you off at the turn-off for Macal River Valley. From there, you will need to walk or hire a taxi to take you the last 5 kilometers to Chial Reserve. The taxi fare should be around BZD 20-30. Make sure to confirm the fare before starting your journey.
