Getting there

Car

From the center of Mountain Pine Ridge, head south on the main road. Follow the signs toward the Rio Frio Cave. After approximately 20 minutes, you will reach a fork in the road; take the right fork to continue toward the cave. You'll drive through some beautiful scenery, so keep your eyes peeled for wildlife and natural beauty along the way. After about 10 more minutes, look for a parking area near the cave entrance. There may be a small parking fee of around $5 BZD, so be prepared with some cash.

Public Transportation

Catch a local bus from the Mountain Pine Ridge area heading towards Douglas Da Silva. Buses typically leave every hour and the fare is around $3 BZD. Inform the driver that you wish to stop at Rio Frio Cave. The bus ride will take about 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at the nearest drop-off point, it will be a short walk (approximately 10-15 minutes) to the entrance of the cave. Wear comfortable shoes as the path may be uneven.

Taxi

If you prefer a more direct route, you can hire a taxi from Mountain Pine Ridge to take you to Rio Frio Cave. The cost for a taxi ride can range from $30 to $50 BZD depending on your negotiation skills and the taxi service. The journey will take approximately 25 minutes. Be sure to arrange for a return taxi if you are not planning to walk back.
