    From Mountain Pine Ridge, take the George Price Highway (Hwy 1) towards San Ignacio. Continue on the highway for about 25 kilometers until you reach the junction for San Jose Succotz. Turn left onto the road leading to San Jose Succotz. Drive through the village until you reach the ferry crossing over the Mopan River. Take the ferry (which operates daily and is usually free) to cross the river. Once you are on the other side, follow the signs to Xunantunich, which is about a 2-mile drive. The entrance to the ruins will be on your left.

    To reach Xunantunich from Mountain Pine Ridge using public transportation, first take a local bus or shuttle service from Mountain Pine Ridge to San Ignacio. The bus leaves frequently and costs about $5 BZD. Once you arrive in San Ignacio, you can catch a bus or a taxi to San Jose Succotz, which is approximately a 10-minute ride costing around $10 BZD for a taxi. After arriving in San Jose Succotz, walk to the ferry crossing over the Mopan River and take the ferry (usually free) to the other side. From there, it is about a 2-mile walk to Xunantunich, or you can hire a local taxi to take you directly to the entrance.
