From Sarteneja, start by heading south on the main road (Southern Highway). Continue driving for approximately 30 kilometers until you reach the junction with the road leading to Corozal. At the junction, turn right and follow the signs toward Corozal Town. Once in Corozal, continue driving toward the Mexican border at Chetumal. After crossing the border into Mexico, follow the signs to Bacalar Lagoon. The lagoon is located approximately 30 kilometers south of the border. Make sure to have your passport and any necessary documents ready for border crossing. Expect to pay a small fee for crossing the border, generally around $5 to $10 USD.
