To reach the Chacchoben Archaeological Zone by car, start on the Federal Highway 307. If you are coming from Cancun, head south on Highway 307. It will take approximately 4 hours (about 350 km). If you're starting from Playa del Carmen, it's about a 3-hour drive (around 240 km). Once you reach the town of Chetumal, continue on Highway 307 towards the town of Chunhuhub. The archaeological zone is located approximately 5 km north of Chunhuhub. Look for signs indicating 'Zona Arqueológica de Chacchoben' as you approach, and follow the access road to the parking area.

Public Transportation
To reach Chacchoben Archaeological Zone using public transportation, take a bus from Cancun or Playa del Carmen to Chetumal. The ADO bus service operates frequent trips, and the cost is approximately 300-400 MXN. Once in Chetumal, you can take a local taxi or a colectivo (shared van) to Chunhuhub. The colectivo rides will typically cost around 50-70 MXN per person. From Chunhuhub, it's about a 5 km taxi ride to the archaeological site, costing approximately 100-150 MXN. Make sure to confirm the return trip arrangements with the taxi driver.
