Car
If you are driving, head south on the Southern Highway (Hummingbird Highway). Look for the signs indicating Maya Center. The sanctuary is located at Mile 12 Southern Highway, approximately 30-45 minutes from the town of Dangriga. Once you reach Maya Center, follow the signs to the Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary entrance. There is a small entrance fee, typically around $10 USD per person.
Public Transportation
To reach Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary by public transportation, take a bus from Belize City to Dangriga. Buses run regularly throughout the day, and the fare is around $12-15 BZD. Once in Dangriga, you can take a local bus or a taxi to Maya Center. The taxi fare might cost around $20-25 BZD. Ask the driver to drop you off at Mile 12 Southern Highway where the sanctuary is located. Expect to pay an entrance fee of about $10 USD per person.
