    If you are driving to the Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary, head towards Maya Centre. From the town of Dangriga, take the Southern Highway towards Punta Gorda. Turn left onto the Maya Centre Road, which is well-marked. Continue straight for about 12 kilometers until you reach the entrance of the Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary. There is a parking area available for visitors. Please note that there is an entrance fee of BZD 10 per person.

    To reach Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary using public transportation, first, take a bus from Belize City to Dangriga. Buses leave frequently from the Belize City bus terminal and the fare is around BZD 10 to BZD 15. Once in Dangriga, transfer to a local bus heading towards Punta Gorda and ask the driver to drop you off at the Maya Centre Road junction. From there, it is about a 12 km walk to the sanctuary entrance, or you can arrange for a taxi, which may cost about BZD 25.
