Getting There

Car

Start your journey from Dagana by driving towards the town of Tsirang. Follow the signs on the main road which will lead you to the Thimphu-Phuentsholing Highway (NH 2). Continue along this highway for approximately 50 km until you reach the Paro district. Look for signs indicating the direction to Paro, and take the exit towards Paro. Once in Paro, follow the local signs that lead to Paro Taktsang, which is about 10 km from the town center. There are parking areas available nearby the trailhead.
Public Transportation

To reach Paro Taktsang via public transport, start from Dagana and take a local bus or shared taxi to the nearest major town, Tsirang. From Tsirang, you can catch a bus heading to Paro. The bus ride will take about 2-3 hours. Once you arrive in Paro, you can take a taxi or a local bus to the trailhead at the base of Paro Taktsang, which is approximately 10 km away from the main town. Expect to pay around 100-150 Ngultrum for the taxi ride.
Hiking

Once you arrive at the trailhead for Paro Taktsang, prepare for a hike that will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours depending on your fitness level. The trail is well-marked, and you will pass through beautiful forests and scenic viewpoints. Be sure to wear comfortable hiking shoes and carry water and snacks for the journey. There is an entrance fee of around 500 Ngultrum to access the site, which is collected at the trailhead.
