Car
From Dagana, drive towards Thimphu. The journey takes approximately 2 to 3 hours, depending on traffic and road conditions. Follow the road signs towards Thimphu, and as you approach Thimphu, look for signs directing you to Tashichho Dzong. The Dzong is located near the center of Thimphu. There is no parking directly at the Dzong, so you may need to find a nearby parking area and walk to the entrance.
Public Transportation
Take a local bus from Dagana to Thimphu, which operates regularly throughout the day. The bus journey will take approximately 3 to 4 hours. Upon arriving in Thimphu, disembark at the main bus terminal. From the terminal, you can either walk to Tashichho Dzong, which is about a 20-minute walk, or hire a taxi for a short ride. The taxi fare is typically around 200-300 Ngultrum. Follow the signs to Tashichho Dzong as you make your way through Thimphu.
