Upon reaching Paro, it is advisable to arrange for a local guide or trekking agency to assist with the Jomolhari trek, as the trailhead is located near the base of the mountain, approximately 15 kilometers from Paro town.

Take a bus to Trashigang, then transfer to another bus heading to Samdrup Jongkhar. From Samdrup Jongkhar, board a bus to Phuentsholing.
