Getting There
Walking
From the center of Mongar town, head east along the main street (Thimphu-Mongar Highway). After approximately 1 km, you will reach the intersection of the highway and a small road leading uphill. Turn left onto this road and continue for about 300 meters until you see a signpost indicating Wengkhar Lhakhang. Follow the path that leads you up the hill, which will take you through a small village. The Lhakhang is situated at the top of the hill, surrounded by beautiful views of the valley.

If you are starting from the Mongar Dzong, exit the Dzong and turn right onto the main road. Walk down the road for about 500 meters until you reach the junction. Turn left onto the road that leads up to Wengkhar Lhakhang. Continue walking for about 20 minutes, passing through local fields and experiencing the rural landscape, until you arrive at the Lhakhang.

From the Mongar bus station, exit and head towards the main street. Walk east for about 1.5 km until you reach the intersection with the Thimphu-Mongar Highway. Turn right and follow the highway for about 1 km. Look for the small road that branches off to the left towards Wengkhar Lhakhang. Follow this path for about 10 minutes until you reach the monastery.
