    Getting There

    Walking

    From the Punakha Dzong, head south on the main road towards the bridge. Cross the bridge and continue walking straight. After about 1.5 kilometers, you will reach a fork. Take the left path that leads uphill. Follow the signs indicating the Royal Takin Preserve. The walk should take approximately 30 minutes.

    Bicycle

    Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Punakha. Start from the Punakha Dzong and head south towards the main road. After crossing the bridge, continue straight for about 1.5 kilometers. When you reach the fork, take the left path leading uphill. The bike ride should take around 15 minutes, but be cautious of the terrain.

    Local Taxi (not by car but can be shared ride)

    Find a local taxi stand in Punakha, preferably near the main market area. Once you get in, inform the driver that you want to go to the Royal Takin Preserve. The drive will take about 10 minutes. Make sure to agree on the fare before starting your journey.
